Welcome!
FHF (FediHosting Foundation Stichting) was founded by two passionate Fediverse admins, Ruud and Stux, in December 2023. We’re a non-profit foundation based in the Netherlands, incorporating ~20 servers, or instances, to date.
FHF instances reflect the open-source Fediverse’s global and multi-faceted structure: Mastodon, Lemmy, PixelFed, Bookwyrm, etc.. all being interconnected within the Fediverse. FHF thus includes the diverse and bright elements of the Fediverse network, representing its dynamic social media sphere. We welcome new members to any of our instances. There’s a wide selection of servers to choose from within our group, or explore them all!
Our Mission#
We aim to provide stable and authentic infrastructure in the Fediverse for instances that are part of the group. With our solid foundations, we help bolster high-powered social media platforms where individuals & communities share, interact, and grow at a global level. We prioritise safety and accessibility. We foster solid connections in the inclusive internet community space. FHF functions like a LLC or a B Corporation, providing legal protection to our core administrative staff. We welcome new server admins to the group.
Our Goals#
As operators of instances on the Fediverse, we’re guided by a short list of clear objectives that help us navigate the social media logistics.
We strive to be:

- Safe for all users
We achieve this through careful moderation and by maintaining a diverse team to administrate our instances. Although we manage numerous separate instances, each supported by a unique team, we all share a unified mission across all our platforms.

Multiple teams make up FHF, with some collaborating and others working independently. Yet all efforts converge toward the same common mission.
